How do I reserve equipment?
1. Use our Equipment and Request Form to select the equipment would like to rent, and submit your contact and delivery information to us. 2. We will email you a detailed Quote including taxes and any applicable discounts and/or delivery charges. 3. Complete and submit the Order Form to verify your order and delivery information and securely provide your credit card information. We accept VISA and Mastercard.
Once we receive your Order Form, we will confirm your reservation, and charge your deposit of one-half of your Total Order. The remaining balance will be charged on your delivery date.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, there is a minimum $25 order.
How are the charges for daily rates determined?
Daily rates are based on a 24 hour period. For example, if equipment is delivered on Friday at 10AM and picked up on Sunday at 4PM, your rental period is 3 days.
Can I rent equipment for longer than one week?
Yes, rentals exceeding 7 days receive a 15% discount off the standard daily rate. Please contact us for more information and discounts available on long-term rentals.
Can I arrange to pick up my rental items?
We no longer offer the option to pick up items from our location. All rentals are by delivery only.
What are your delivery fees and options?
Equipment can be delivered to private residences, hotels, vacation rentals, or condominiums.
Car seats, as well as other equipment, can be delivered to the Wilmington International Airport (ILM).
A standard delivery fee of $30 applies to our service area which includes Wilmington, Figure 8 Island, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Ft. Fisher. For deliveries outside our service area, please call for delivery rates. For deliveries to more than one location, or if additional trips are required to a rental location through no fault of Kids In Tow Rentals, an additional $15 fee may be charged.
Deliveries are normally scheduled between the hours of 9AM and 6PM. An additional $15 fee may be charged for deliveries prior to 9AM and after 6PM.
What can I expect when equipment is delivered?
We do request that someone be available when the equipment is delivered to acknowledge the equipment is satisfactory and to complete and sign the Rental Agreement. We assemble and offer to demonstrate or answer any questions regarding the use of our rental items. Our service doesn't end with the delivery. Please feel free to call us any time with any questions or concerns you might have. We're happy to assist or answer additional questions regarding our equipment.
Do you install car seats?
We do not install car seats. Instruction manuals are attached to each car seat. If you are not familiar with the installation of your car seat rental, we recommend that you view the installation video available at the Britax website. There are also several car seat inspection stations located in the Wilmington area which will provide assistance in the proper installation of your car seat.
Will I receive the exact equipment I order?
Yes. We make every effort to provide you with the exact equipment and options you have ordered. If the exact equipment is not available for reasons beyond our control, we will contact you as soon as possible to give you the option of selecting a similar item or cancelling your order with a full refund of your deposit.
What if I need to cancel my order?
Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel your confirmed equipment rental reservation. We will refund your deposit less a $25 administrative fee for cancellations made 48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery date. Deposits for cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery date may not be refunded.
What happens if I lose or damage the equipment?
Please be aware that in the unfortunate event that rental item(s) are lost, damaged, or permanently stained, you will be responsible for the repair or replacement of the item. Your credit card will be charged for the cost of repairs or replacement cost of the item(s).
What products do you use to clean and sanitize your equipment?
We understand this is an important consideration for the health and safety of your child. We throughly clean each item using only environmentally safe, non-toxic products. In addition, we apply a disinfectant that is both non-toxic and proven to kill viruses. This disinfectant has been approved for use in schools, day care centers and on food preparation surfaces.
